How to Choose The Right Computer
There are only a few main parts of the computer that truly make the difference between the others. As long as when you are looking for the right computer to buy, you pay attention to these parts and see what they are, and how fast they are, you will end up with the computer system you really want and need, instead of another computer that you will be looking at upgrading in the near future.
The Processor:
All computers only understand 1′s and 0′s which is the binary language. The processor does the calculations with these 1′s and 0′s to give you your windows, icons, folders, text, pictures, etc.. The faster your processor’s speed is, the faster it can do these calculations, the less wait time or “lag” you will have. Now that doesn’t mean that you have to get the latest and greatest of processors out. It just means that you have to make a decision based on understanding what that number next to the GHz means.
If you are a student or you are going to be using this computer for such purposes as: research, surfing the web, playing card games, word processing, book keeping, or anything of the like, it is recommended that you get a processor that is accommodating for these activities. You definitely do not need anything super fast, but you do not want to get too low end either, otherwise you will be left in the technological dust when the new processors come out and everyone you know upgrades. Typically a 2.6Ghz processor is as low end as you want to go, but with the new (M)obile technology that laptops have out this number changes. If you see “Mobile” or a “M” anywhere in the processor area when you are looking at a laptop, the low end in this case is around 1.7GHz.
How To Choose The Best Gaming Laptop
The gaming laptop is coming of age! It is steadily increasing in popularity as performance quality goes up. Gamers now regularly consider laptops or notebooks when searching for that perfect gaming machine.
With each new generation of notebooks we are seeing some novel breakthroughs: dual core notebooks, PCI Express, Sonoma Chipset, increased storage, increased RAM, faster CPUs, better battery life and better wireless connections including a Cellular Modem. All welcome news for gamers and notebook lovers alike.
Generally, gamers are a very demanding group, they know their computers and they know what they want in their computers. Most gamers like to order their gaming laptop with their own specs and configurations. In that light, if you closely examine the main points gamers consider when configuring or building their Dream Machine – you will have a good blueprint for the best gaming machine.
Since notebook technology changes every two years or so, it’s probably wise to purchase a laptop that can be easily upgraded as new products come on line. So consider the upgradable factor in any notebook that you plan to buy.
Inside of Video Card,GPU
In this article i will explain further my older article about VGA card. Now i will discuss about GPU.
The video card (also called VGA Card graphics card or display adapter) like a bridge, the function is connect motherboard to monitor; its main function is bringing command and data offered by CPU (Central Processing Unit), and change them into words or images which can be accepted by monitor. You will despair of slack screen switching and motions distortion etc, if there is no display adapter or the card is a low-end product.
If you have got a good mainboard/motherboard with onboard graphics card which work great so far, but doesn’t perform well with games and higy quality video. It means you must have a best video card. With the development of technology, currently most RAMDAC is integrated onto the GPU chip. The two most significant parts of a graphics card are GPU and video memory. GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) is the core of the card. It plays an irreplaceable role when you play 3D games.TNT2 of nVIDIA Company, GeForce2, GeForce MX and GeForce4, can efficiently handle, construct and render video information sent by system. The properties of GPU decide the properties of a display adapter. Different GPU has different inner structure, different nature as well as different price.
A good video card is relatively more expensive. Presently, video memory includes SGRAM, SDRAM and DDR. Though GPU is very significant, the importance of video memory cannot be ignored; the size and quality of video memory also can greatly affects the properties of a display adapter. And video memory is the main parameter to describe the capability of a display adapter. For example, in 3D games, 128MB is ok for many players. If your requirement is higher, you can configure a 256MB or 512MB video card. So if your graphics cards are excellent on the two parts, you can enjoy a great game play.
You need to update video drivers on your computer, if you are using a good onboard
Installing and Updating and a New VGA Card
Let’s Know the VGA Cards (Video Graphics Accelerator)
VGA card >>> an upgrading hardware (expansion card) which can be plugged into the slot inside computers motherboard.
Also mentioned as the VGA, video Card, graphic card, display adapter, graphic adapter card, etc and also has other terms. It is mainly used for gaming. But also used for 3D rendering and editing and etc which are rarely being reviewed.
A lot of people think that a VGA card slows down the Computer by using the systems RAM. It’s wrong. VGA cards use their own memory and have some protocols that allow VGA cards to access a part of the systems memory. But the recent VGA cards have their own inbuilt memory and do not make use of the systems memory.
If you are a Gamer and you want to feel the true reality in graphics, the best thing to do is to upgrade your VGA card. Gaming experiences completely depends on a VGA card. The heavier will be the load and effect on game playing when the graphic settings get higher.
People play modern games with old video cards, but they experience slow game play and low video quality. We know that, a video card is installed to the slot on the motherboard.
Motherboards have 1 to 3 expansion slots which are different from each other. They differ in bandwidth, voltage, and other features.
Very important for you to know the slots that you have in your systems motherboard and buy an appropriate VGA card. VGA card designed for one slot type cannot be installed into another slot.
So.. please make sure you consider all these when buying a video card.
